festivals organised by the Hotel hit the charts of glorious city
events. Following is the brief of food festivals organised in year
2000.

( during March 31 to April 9 at Orchid )
Veg and non-veg biryanis in handis were served. Master chef Mumtaz
Qureshi recreated the splendour of Awadhi and Hyderabadi cuisines.

( On April 13 )
Exquisite Punjabi cuisine from Tandoori Chicken to Amritsari Macchi
in a lavish buffet were served. The guests also enjoyed Bhangra and
Gidda with the DJ.

( during May 12 to May 21 )
Recreated the famous 'Parathewali Gali' of Old Delhi. Mumtazi and
Nawabi Paratha were some of the specialities.

( during May 24 to June 1 at Orchid )
To commemorate the second anniversary of Fortune Hotel Landmark,
this nine days long food festival was organised. Each day offered a
different cuisine - Italian, Mughlai, Gujarati, South Indian,
Chinese, Awadhi, Punjabi, Rajasthani and Khyber.

Promoted the vegetarian concept of healthy living. Specialties
without onion and garlic were also served.

( during July 13 to July 16 at Khyber )
Exquisite sizzlers from Indian and Chinese to continental varieties.

( during July 21 to July 30 at Orchid )
Chefs from Umed Bhavan Palace, a Welcomgroup Heritage Hotel, flown
in to create the magic of Rajasthani cuisine. From the land of
Rajputs to the land of Marwar, everything was part of the wide
spread buffet.

( during September 8 to September 17 at Orchid )
An elaborate Chinese and Thai buffet in a delicious blend of dishes
from the land of the Orient. The first ever international food
festival in Ahmedabad.
